RA-Rheumatoid Arthritis-I Would If I Could

woman-1302674_640

If I could remove this disease
I would do it a breeze
If I could take back my life
I would gladly let go of this strife
I would wipe away RA
The disease that hurts me every day
I would take back my life as I knew it
Full of spunk, laughter and fit
No more daily fatigue, sadness and pain
Nor fear of the cold, damp or rain
I would be on the go without fear
Never wondering if a chair or bench was near
If I could wipe out being chronic
I would without another pill, shot, infusion or any kind of tonic
If I could end all of the painful years
It would stop the tears and the constant fears
I would chase away chronic everything
And a calmer, simpler, pain-free life I would definitely bring!
Be Blessed.

Being sick with Rheumatoid Arthritis, our ultimate goal is to feel the best that we can. Depending on our Rheumatologist and other doctors is an important part of our care but what happens when things just don’t seem to be working out with your doctor.  Do you find yourself struggling with whether to find new one or do you stick it out for reasons that you also struggle with.  This dilemma can only add additional stress to our already stressful life.

RA-Rheumatoid Arthritis-What It Really It-The Real Truth

RA and the family fit
Know Us

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disorder that affects the joints including those in the hands and feet.  It is an auto immune disease in which the body’s immune system which normally protect its health by attacking foreign substances like bacteria and viruses mistakenly attacks the joints.  This creates inflammation that causes the tissue to thicken resulting in swelling and pain around those joints.  Most commonly affected are hands, feet, wrists, elbows, knees and ankles.  RA can also affect the body’s cardiovascular or respiratory system which is called a systemic disease.  Systemic means the entire body which can be deadly.  We as warriors believe it should be called Rheumatoid Disease to cut down on the confusion. RA- Rheumatoid Arthritis, We Are Victims

sorrow-699608_640

Do you hurt so much you wonder if it’s possible for pain to actually last this long and be this relenting, powerful and debilitating.  Well this is what having Rheumatoid Arthritis does to its victims.  That’s right, victims.  Anything that hurt someone as much, as often and as long means we are its victims. RA-Rheumatoid Arthritis’ Harsh Reality

girl-940707_640

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis a disease many really don’t know
It is harsh, it can be deadly, what a horrifying blow,
And it brings uncertainty, grief and so much loneliness
But we can’t forget about some of our biggest tests,
There’s depression, sorrow and the ongoing misunderstanding
That this is a disease that is so demanding,
Yes, disease I know that may surprise you
It is a very serious condition, this is true,
Pain is a constant and the fatigue just won’t go away
It’s in our lives each and every day,
We strive to make it with all that we’re going through
But many will still ask “What’s wrong with you”,
Life with RA can’t be explained in simple words
So it’s not getting the attention we feel it deserves,
Are we seeking attention, pity or any of this
No, not at all, our lives are not worth the risk,
The bottom line, Rheumatoid Arthritis is a horrendous disease
One that affects us all, more than anyone sees!

Be Blessed.

RA-The Battle To Survive

heart-1882827_640

How does Rheumatoid Arthritis affects your life and your fight to maintain.  Do you feel weak when in reality the battle we fight makes us strong.  You are strong in your weakest moments.

Are you filled with guilt! Guilt because you aren’t who you use to be emotionally nor how you were physically.  The guilt takes over because your functions have become limited and doing things aren’t as easy as it use to be if at all possible so being unable too sends you down a road filled with guilt that’s long and hard.  Guilty because you are faced with feelings of letting your family down even though it’s out of your control.  The constant pain we’re in keeps us locked in a world controlled by Rheumatoid Arthritis.  It dictates what our days are to be.  We often feel or want things to be our way but this disease has other ideas.  We try our best to fight our way through the pain but the majority of the time, RA wins.  It is true we may fight through but in the end, RA is the true winner.
