Seeing how something can control your life is not what we expected but along came this terrible disease to rewrite our dreams and expectations setting us on a path that will forever alter all of our expectations.
When you think back over the years before your Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis, do you remember where you came from to where you are now. Tell me how do you feel! Do you miss that old you and all that came so easy in your life before? Yes, this is how we all got started!
A simple life maybe, but now it has been affected by a disease that has snatched away our normalcy and replaced it with uncertainties, frustrations, pain, isolation and so much more. Some things that we will never be able to get those in our lives to really understand or accept. A disease that changes us daily as we do our best to accept and cope with our circumstances.
Before your diagnosis, was your life without thoughts of what you really wanted to do or were you already set with your plans for yourself. You carried on with life and it was as good as life would or could be. There were some things to dwell on as we all have to do in life but certainly not Rheumatoid Arthritis being one of them. As it goes, you find out you do have this dreadful disease. That misleading arthritis that fools many who don’t know how dreadful it can be some and is for others. You see, what you have is an autoimmune disease, something that affects you from the inside out, taking its toll on you both physically and mentally in the years to come. Now this is something that you have to absorb and rationalize for yourself even when those in your life walk away from your battle. This is going to be one of your toughest plights.
Well as your life goes on with this devastating disease, you have found there will be so much to learn about yourself, those in your life and about Rheumatoid Arthritis. You are learning life can be isolating while learning you will need to find strength from nowhere to deal with a disease to be reckoned with. Our life’s story is made of many things but once Rheumatoid Arthritis became a part of it, the story changed in ways that even we didn’t expect or was prepared to handle. To need, to yearn, to hope and to fight became prominent words with stronger meanings.
Our Life’s Story to share with Rheumatoid Arthritis has much to tell but it would take a long time to tell it a way for some to truly understand. Rheumatoid Arthritis, a disease that is silent but surely makes it presence known daily. A disease that has come into our lives and changed our story forever.
Be Blessed
