Hello Warriors. Hope you all are doing well. Do you wake up with feelings of dread. Feeling tired, pain and broken. Does your body seem to have its own agenda. How are you going to make it through the day you’re already wondering!! That is just a few things on our minds when dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

The pain is overwhelming, the fatigue (how can something be so bad), is even worse. How in the world can I get myself going is the question you’re asking yourself. You struggle through because that’s what you’ve become accustomed too. You put one foot in front of the other and you do what you have to because life with RA does not stop for us. But there are those times no matter what, nothing seems to work. The hot showers nor the pain medication seems to get you moving, therefore giving in is our only option at that time. We cannot always win this struggle.

As we’re struggling through our day many may not notice how much we’re suffering and that RA cloud that’s hanging over our heads as we do what’s expected of us. As sufferers of RA, we’ve become good at putting on the many faces it takes to make it through our days. We hide our pain, we hide our fatigue, we hide our hurt and put on brave fronts because we’re so often overlooked and expected to go on as normal. Yet we still put ourselves through the hurt and disappointment hoping for understanding and seeking comfort when for some it never comes. We ride this journey alone with the bumps and bruises that it takes to survive.

Making it through our days has many implications. We’re fighting to be normal but settle for what has become our normal. How we make it is short of miraculous because what we deal with can be debilitating. This is a complicated disease with many, many barriers for us to fight through. Our days are hard and they are often long and lead to long nights which for us seem to be a never-ending journey. Rheumatoid Arthritis has a way of making you feel as if you are on a 24 hour day of Forever.

Be Blessed.
